I've noticed just in my area that 4 hire places now have the Hilux ute and luton peak bodied versions in their yards compared to Holdens and Ford previously. I had a V6 pet. auto Hilux for 2 days, 540km and it was OK, except it drank far more then I was expecting, didn't get to 400 out of the tank and it was country/freeway driving.

Camry/Aurion did 3981, which would have made it second if Toyota wasn't pretending they were different cars.

Interesting also to see that there's a big gap between Holden's best seller, Commodore, and its second best seller, Astra. Also interesting to see that Astra still sells very well while Viva isn't even on the chart, even though the Viva is a lot cheaper.

Hard to see anyone hauling in Toyota's lead for the forseeable future.

I note the Hi-lux is 4x2 and 4x4 combined and so is the Navara which predominately sells 4x4 anyway...................what about the Rodeo, I'm sure it's 4x2 and 4x4 sales combined would be on this list ?

What is the Holden Rodeo's total ?

That's coz half the population only wants a car to get from A to B (and wear beige cardigans!).

And more governments are opting for "greener" 4 cylinder cars - hence the reason that the White-Goods on Wheels (Toy yoda) are gettin the boost.

With all these 4 cylinder cars on the road - that would lead to less fuel being used, thus an easing in the worlds consumption, thus the easing of world oil prices, thus fuel comes down - so us V8 drivers get the benefit! Well that's my theroy.... :)

I work for a Govt department (State) and all of the fleet vehicles here are 4cyl Camrys and Corollas. All white with auto trans

But I think the reason why they had to cycle out all of the 6cyl cars to 4's was because of running costs, not greenie shit.

is it usual for the Holden and F**d Utes to be listed separately to their sedan cousins?

unless it is just the fact that their sales are higher than usual - as others have mentioned, end of financial year.
