Posted in another thread but I thought that I might get a response starting this one. I have not as yet told my insurance company about my suspension, cam and turbo modifications to my Vx Clubby. :eyes:

If I have to make a claim I reckon I won't be a happy camper. If you have a turbo LS1 who are you insured with and have you ever had to make a claim? I'm with Shannons at the moment on the Clubby.

My Car was insured with Shannons, and just made a CLAIM as it was written off a couple of weeks ago.

They knew about my suspension, Engine mods and Turbos.

Just tell them everything, and you will have no problems.

I think having them engineered has a lot to do with the insurance? Queenslanders like Voodoo etc, had theres done with the plate.

I think if its not engineered then the insurance company will not pay out.

Yes Mod plate certainly doesnt hurt...

I had no problem getting one up here either.

I have my car with Shannons, modified brakes, modified suspension, custom exhaust, custom fuel system, 412ci stroker and a Gen-T ... all declared, all fine.

Just let them know !!!

Do yourself a favour bloke, go straight to the phone and ring
them now, before you drive it again. After the next drive
could be too late. Are you not with Shannons in the first
place due to mods? I am.

Mine is also insured with Shannons. No problems, told them everything $1400 a year. Great insurance company in my opinion, I have heard so many good reports about them and now have everything insured through them including house / contents.

Also try Ryno Insurance, they will do turbos, and they insured me for 1/2 the price of Shannons.
