I had my Koni red front and rear shocks go on yesterday and after a bit of a drive today I am very impressed with the way the ride has improved over the FE2 shocks.Basicly the car sits firmer and feel less jittery over corrugations etc giving better road feel and ride I now actually have front suspension travel as the car is no longer sitting on the bump stops, I highly recommended these shocks.
I want to also thank Brad at WA Suspensions for taking care of my car and being straight with me (also a nice forum discount)

Is that still running the stock FE2 springs or something else?

The shockers will not change the ride height, hence I do not understand the comment about sitting on the bump stops. Could you please elaborate on the ride ...the FE2 shockers are stiff on bump, hence do "jiggle" over minor bumps and give what most people describe as an uncomfortable ride. Are the Koni reds any different over small bumps? The big test is ...does your wife/girlfriend think it is smoother? Can you give a guide on cost?

The ride height has stayed the same but I think the bump stops may have been modified somehow. My wife hasn't been in my car for about 3 months so I can't use her as a gauge. There is a fair bump (a dip) in the road near my house and previously my front right wheel would hit it with a fair thud felt through the car felt nasty yet this morning it was felt yes but to a much reduced feel like I had gone through it at half the speed ,hard to explain but all round just a nicer ride.

The shocks dont actually alter the ride height, however when the car is on the bumpstops so its holding the car up, changing the struts to something shorter can make it drop a little. I dont think Daz's car dropped much if at all.
Daz, glad your happy with it mate. Enjoy the ride :)
Cheers

MC Motorsport, AHG centre. There is not much to hit out there. Actually, since a porsche took out the sign there is nothing to hit now

I trust you have not thrown the FE2...might well be required for that 11 second time slip imho....just as a couple of good folk here in QLD have discovered ..at quite some expense :)

Still got the FE2 markone2.
Daz,
Im glad you like them.. That is the same set up I have and I think they are heaps better than the standard.
I find the more shit you give them the better they handle.
WA susp, did mine aswell.. Definitly a good bunch of guys.

No doesn't change the ride height but when I had the VT lowered it would hit the bump stops constantly over speed bumps etc as the standard FE2 shock is in the middle of it's stroke. I put a Monroe short shock in it and the ride went from crap to amazing and no more bottoming out.
A bit hard to explain I guess the best way to describe the difference is better ride/body control.
IMHO shorter shocks are a must with lowered springs and Koni's are the duck's. Just my 2c worth anyway.
