Well i sold my vy ss ute late in 05 and i admit i miss the power as my daily drive has been a suzuki sierra ever since.I loved the power and mods but the value loss killed me. I think i will get another one soon but not a new one and no mods other than whats already fitted.
But i was lucky as i purchased a walkinshaw in dec 05 for some fun. Its value has increased from 40 grand to around 100 grand. Now i cant drive that due to its value so now its in storage waiting for its value to reach the max and then pay my morgage. Not how i planed to use it but still very good anyway.
Sad to see it in storage on blocks but with its sale in the future it should put me back into another nice car i can actually drive. Then i can jump into this forum again as its being awhile.

Personally I find it sad that cars are purchased and not driven, but in these times I suppose it's a sound financial decision? However, when you've paid off the mortgage with the Walky what "toy" will you buy? (if any?) Any classic MuscleCar will be top-dollar by that stage and if you sell the one you already own you probably won't be buying another ..

I've never been in this predicament due to my uncanny ability to pass-up/sell great future collectables in order to buy cars people don't want .. like Javelins and C-Body Mopars! :)
