Ve Sunroof

Well, i finally took possession of my shiny new Calais V yesterday. Been waiting now for about 8 weeks

BUT

Can someone tell me whether or not the internal sunroof liner can be slid open even whilst the sunroof itself is closed??

Mine only opens when i slide the glass open, and it closes when i close the glass.

I think that maybe the liner catching on the sunroof mechanism and that is stopping it from sliding open.

Our cover is always open (we don't close it, but it can be closed) ... the glass slides independantly of the cover.

If its anything like the pre-VE sunroof, then when you slide the cover back, it gets to a point where it sorta clicks so it locks into place instead of following the glass.

As Nick says.. Mine is mostly open - however i can and do slide it shut on some occassions.. Have you tried holding the slide when the roof is closed, and then try and open the roof (whilst holding the slide) to see if that helps? It may just be a little caught.

Mine opens when i open the sunroof when i close the sunroof i have to manually close it

mine opens and shuts if the sunroof is closed. when i close the roof i have to slide the cover shut.

When I picked my car up it was closed but the first time I opened the sunroof it opened and stayed there. I closed it once when my wife was in the car as she didn't like the streetlights flashing past but next time I opened it the cover slid back and has been there ever since. Sounds like something is not quite right on yours.
