Wat is meant by "Opened Cat"?
do they get all the shit out of the cat?
Iz it illegal?
Do you gain Power?
Would it sound much Lounder?

opening up the cat can mean taking the guts out but more commonly refers to getting rid of the compressed pipe the exits the cat and re welding another one in its place, this will make the exhaust flow better, ofering better response and a little incress in performance(with a car with some mods)

it will also make it sound a little deeper but not much

I thought 'opened cats' means standard cats with the ends chopped off, and larger diameter pipe welded on.

my understanding is that the take off the existing pipe work, extend the diameter of the hole to say 2.5" for example so that you can weld on 2.5" piping goin gin and out of the cat instead of the standard 2.25"
