Hi,
I have been looking at getting a cam upgrade but do not know too much about them. I have seen Comp cams K-Kits on e-bay america which look good because you get CAMSHAFT AND LIFTERS,VALVE SPRINGS, RETAINERS, LOCKS, AND VALVE STEM SEALS, TIMING CHAIN AND ASSEMBLY LUBE. I am just not sure what size cam to get etc etc.. I am looking for something good for the street as i use this car everyday. So far i just have LS1 edit, twin 2.5" exhaust, Try-y extractors and sureflo OTRCAI. Would i just be able to buy one of these kits and get it put straight on with no hassles?. Any info on what type of cam to get and just general experience about them would be much appreciated.

Cheers, Shaun.

222/224 is the most popular cam from what ive seen, I run that cam also. Power from 1800-6700, great idle, fuel economy, sound and power.
You will be looking at 3-3500 for cam, springs, rods, double row timing chain and a tune here.
I bought roller rockers and springs from usa and saved heaps but if yopu are going to buy the whole lot I would just get it here.
After tax and postage u wont save much if any from the prices I have seen, and also if the part is wrong you will be up for a stuff around.
If you search under 222/224 you will find a heap on the cam setup, also cams in general.
Good luck and empty pockets lol
Also lifters cant be replaced unless heads come off, which isnt necessary if u r not doing head work, will cost u alot more.

Best bet is to reasearch as much info as you can about camshafts.
You then need to work out what you want from your car. ie Daily driver with stonk, outright strip weapon.

Look at what others have been using and see what they say about the combo's they're using.

Then you can make an informed decision.
