Ugly as sin but god i love Ducati`s , Worst day of my live when my 12 month old 900 ss got pinched , how was the entry to the corners . Lets see the rice burnin Drifters do that .

woohoo spiderman backs it in.

Some trick gear, Brembo's, Marzocchi and Sachs I like but surely a two into two exhaust is the way to go on a Duke.

The motard deal must be big in Europe but I cant see it taking off here on the road, Ducati cant get enough 1098's into the country.

Its looks like a real weapon. I'll still take the KTM SuperDuke though. If only I could ride like that I may actually get some use out of it lol!
How cool are those mirrors, my bike shits me as everytime you get up it my mirrors fold back, it looks like a great idea.

I'd imagine something like a converted TL1000R could be set up as a motard - but motards are a curiously European thing....

WANT

Although those mirrors look stupid - first thing I would do is piss them off and fit some knobblies :shiner:

A TL1000R could never be a motard

Never say never!!! Some people are doing some crazy things with bikes, such as turning Fireblades into streetfighters and the like. Not that I would ever worry about it.

Don't forget, motards were originally dirtbikes modded for road use.

I only used the TL1000R as an example - geez, you could turn a Mille/VTR/TRX850 or a 'Busa into a motard if you put your mind to it!!!!

Me? I'll stick with what I've got, although the RM with sticky road tyres would be a challenge....

No you couldn't because they weigh to much and the suspension is not intended for off road use.

Motards have big suspension travel as when they are raced they do road/offroad motocross style jumps, etc.

The Hypermotard is more designed for the road element of it, nice bike but I wouldn't spend $22k on it, I'd rather convert a 450 motocross bike.

The Hypermotard would be awesome fun in the twisties and on a race track but.
