:spew:just bought a vx sv300 over to perth, it only came with the log book.does anyone know if this model would have had a second folder with build no. certificates and options ect. im assuming it would cause my vy r8 did. Because its a rare car with only 22k on the clock and would really like to have this, will hsv re-issue? and is there any way of finding out if the car has had any factory recall/fault work carried out on it?

There would definately be a compendium folder issued with that car from new. It has the build certificate etc in it . HSV usually will not issue a replacement. Your best bet, would be to try and find the original owner and see if he still has it stashed away. Cheers John

HSV are contactable in Clayton, Melbourne.
Phone 03 9265 9500.
Factory recalls/reworks are carried out by the dealer the original owner used, so you would be best contacting them direct. The car will have all recalls entered into Holden's online system, so another dealer could in theory tell you, but the original dealer is usually easier.

Yep you can. It will cost you $99.00
This is how ya do it!
1. Goto http://www.hsv.com.au/index_eseries.asp
2. Click on the 'Q&A' down the bottom in the middle of the page
3. Click on number 6. "How can I check if my HSV is authentic?" *explains costing
4. Click on the 'Authenticate' button on the right hand side. *This will ask you for your VIN number.
There was a faster way but it asked you for your VIN number without explaining whats happening.
Enjoy your new pride and joy!
