Well i'm very excited at the moment i have hust ordered myself some VY GTS genuine rims from the guys at Wheelking for a fantastic price and they should arrive thursday. Soon as i get em i'll post some pics up. I was also wondering if anyone could photoshop what the will look like on my VX SS II in Hyper Yellow as i have only seen them on utes or vy's etc. It's also about time i got validated so when is the next meet on the Gold Coast with other forum members?
Also Frank at wheelking was fantastic to deal and i would highly reccomed them.
Cheers - Matt
Also can anyone reccomend some rubber for my rims as don't have the cash until next week for the tyres. I would like a tyre that performs well on the street and quarter mile or would i be best running on stock 17's when i run it?

Good choice on the wheels.
I can recomend Maxxis Z1 tyres if you are after a well priced excellent performing tyre.

Ventus sport k104 is not a bad tyre for the price, around 300 a corner in 245/35/19 depending on were you are located.

Hi so here are a few pics of my new rims. I was so excited to post them i haven't had a chance to wash my car. Yes it could probably do with a lowering but no i'm not until i have ran it on the 1/4 first. No i'm not trying to make a lookalike gts hence the ss badges and kit will remain and it's a vx with vy wheels in case any haters feel they need to make that coment, I chose these wheels cause i like them and they are genuine which means in 20 years time should some bugger run me up a gutter i can source a new one easily. Once the cam and new diff and convertor go in and i've ran it on a 1/4 and lowered it then i'll create a My Ride link. I am only posting these pics in case anyone else may be interested in doing the same thing with their vx and they can see what it looks like. Feel free to comment good or bad...
cheers - matt

Latest development on the rims ......
Have a friend who owns a shop which professionally lowers cars etc.
He is flying up from Shepparton to lower the car in 2 weeks time so i will post some after it has been lowered. I know i said i wasn't lowering without running it first but it really looks like it's sitting way too high. The plan is to have the front guard just aove the tyre and the rear guard just above the rim. :woohoo:

Ok so i have lowered the car now and here are the updated pics. I have been told it will drop down a bit more once it settles but it looks so much better now. Anyhow i'm off to get the wheel alignment now and get my guards rolled cause it scrubs out all the time. Hope whoever looks here likes my new pics. Next project is the dif gears and a converter....:D
