Monaro boot lip on commodore?

Hi everyone,

I have a 2002 VXII executive and I REALLY like the look of the boot lip on the Monaro (CV8 onwards I beleive) and I was wondering if there are any aftermarket suppliers that would be able to supply something similar, eg. just a boot lip that attaches to the existing boot lid. I realise that the monaro's lip was pressed into the boot lid and the rear quarter panel edges.

Any ideas/help would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise it might have to be a custom design!

Hmmm, they have some great stuff there, but unfortunately only a boot lip for vy/z models, and the boot lid on the VX is quite a lot different. Thanks for the suggestion though.

I know you can make the monaro rear bar fit so is there any reason why you can't make the boot lid fit?

They are massively different on the sides. Commodore angles quite a bit toward the corners of the window, whereas Monaro goes back almost straight.

your best bet would be something custom.

as monro and sedan boots are waaay different.


you could prob get a monaro boot and sedan boot and make 2 become 1.


kinda like making a 4 door into a 2 door.
(... ok thats usually with older cars, 4 door 63chevy into a 2door.)

No A Monaro boot lid is actually shorter than the sedan. (A Monaro is 10cm shorter than the sedan, it is all taken out of the boot, that's why you can't fit a full size spare in the wheel well of a Monaro). The WH Statesman has the same lip as the V2 Monaro, maybe a WH bootlid might fit a sedan or be more easily modified.
