Hey guys,

I'm looking for a good service dealership. I bought my car from Summit Holden in the city but early this year they closed down. They were great, everytime i took my car in to get something done they would give me a car for the day for free.

I have to get the seat belt recall done on my car and another dealership wants me to pay to loan a car for the day. If it was for a service, ok fair enough you pay. But for a seat belt recall, it is not really my fault, why should I pay to have a barina or astra for the day!!!

If anyone knows of any good service dealerships around melbourne please tell.

Drewie and I use Patterson-Cheney in Ringwood and they seem pretty good - I have no major gripes. But book ahead for a loan car.....

I've had a fairly good experience with Summit Holden in Elsternwick. I had my car serviced there and had a good service.
My friend bought a car from them a while ago and while waiting for her car to be ready for delivery, they gave her a corolla to drive in the mean time free of charge.

Funny you say that. I rang Elsternwick and asked them for loan car for the day and they said we charge $50 for the day. And I did tell them that Summit in the city always gave me a free loan car. And the guy said we don't give out free cars.
