Hey guys, great forum!
Today I had a thread deleted that I started, called "Cam Time!". I posted it in General Automotive, in the same section as the thread "Need 10 more HP" or something like that. My post was of a similar nature - it wasn't technical, but it was asking a general question about power and track times of other members.
This thread was deleted stating that "This thread does not belong here". Two quick questions. Firstly, where would it belong? There are many similar threads in the same section which have not been deleted. Secondly, could it not just have been moved?
Thanks again,
Mungrel

i didnt read the thread, although i'd be guessing it might have been better suited to LS Powertrain Technical part of the forum.
Answering your second question, I just searched for it, i'd say its been deleted.

would be good to get notified that they get deleted (well the thread starter should be told) and also why
it would make knowing that easy for future ones

Yep its a goner, the mods should be able to explain. It amazes me how much crap can still be talked about, you were talking about LS1 stuff which has since been deleted, but we have numerous threads on, torches, movies, songs, tattoos, job requests & stuff that is not even mildly related to LS1 or cars.
Wont be long until this one is deleted also (just guessing)
Could also be a bit of not what you know but who??

I did get a PM saying it was deleted, stating "This thread doesn't belong here". But my problem is I don't get where it should be as it wasn't a technical question at all - plus there are several similar threads in the same section which have not been touched. How confusing.

Yeah, a bit annoying as I was getting some great feedback to my questions too.

Hell guys, i didnt even get a chance to read it, but dont worry its not uncommon.
Ive had threads deleted, posts erased, pm's blocked, post count reset, at the moment i cant view classifieds at all unless im offline, and many others its nothing new.
Besides threads missing, being erased off the planet, its a great forum.
Thats my 2 cents worth

A little over-moderated I think, but that's the way the cookie crumbles.

Put your dvd copy of bruce almighty away.
As with all forum related decisions, if you have a question/problem about them, then email the moderators through the contact us page HERE (http://www.ls1.com.au/forum/sendmessage.php). Dont start a thread asking why.

I just went and had a look at the tread in question in the bin.
Out of the 27 posts made, there were only 3 useful posts on topic; 1 from VYSHSV8, 2 from vyssbeast.
The remaining 24 posts were along the lines of "Oh that will be sweet", "Should be cool" and some pics of a bodybuilder with another persons head photoshopped on top?
Where is the "quality feedback" in that and why is it such a sadly missed thread? ...... and no, I wasn't the one who deleted it.
It was likely deleted because 90% of the posts were more at home in the shoutbox.

The thread was deleted as it read like a brag session about your car and what you wanted to do to it.
If you want to highlight it then it goes in the "my rides section".
