The Discs are in and the brackets are on the way
Since everyone knows the size of a coke can, I thought it best to have something we all know so as to compare them to.
Best you grab one just to put on your desk first, then look at the pics again.

Just remember guys a well designed brake system does not need to be huge look ate th V8's they run 17's well they used to..A calliper that size and shape is designed to fit around the circumference of the disc so really not taking up muvh space at all... if the disc is ay 380mm in diameter and calliper only sit 13mm of the disc they which is a diameter of
393 will fit some 17" rims that are designed for racing as they have indents around the circumference of the rim to accomodate these large brakes..But generally you will need 18's

Fark!
Well I guess you can always go more OTT with something like Rotora's 12 piston system (http://www.autoblog.com/2007/04/20/when-eight-aint-enough-rotora-12-piston-caliper/)
Can you share some further specs on the 8 pot kit here? Vehicle compatibility, rotor size, min wheel size, ADR compliance, and yes the $$?
Cheers

Brackets will arrive soon, they will be tested on Sam's personal car.
Pricing will be made when they are tested and Sam passes them

Just remember that the V8's you are comparing them to weigh in at something like 1350kg's and until this year could spend anything up to $20k on a set to go racing with. The new Alcons they are currently using as control brakes are somewhat cheaper at around $12k a set and are replaced regularly.
So although they don't need to be huge as you say, please take into consideration that they do not stay on the car for 50,000km's like ours do.

So ultimately, these are just serious track brake systems yes?
Just over kill for the street unless your after the bling factor?
Either way you look at them, they are very impressive!Nice engineering!

They are a performance brake package, not JUST a track brake package. They are intend as an improvement / upgrade over your existing brakes for both track and street applications.
Overkill ?? bling factor ? When you understand performance brakes and braking a little more then you do now, you will then appreciate them for what they are.
Do yourself a favour and read some of Darrens posts on brakes and lean something about them.
They are an impressive set of brakes, Sam is very keen to have them fitted to his VE for some testing.

Nice brakes, what size wheel do you need to fit over them? E series HSVrequires a min of 19" wheel to go over theres... I found even the E R8's brakes are far to good for the street rubber at the track  I can imagine you need some slicks to get these puppies working  and the bling factor, these under some nice 20's would look seriously tuff
