Well we are going to give these suckers a fly on the SS next. Will have them fitted one day this week.
These are the X-Force 4 into 1's with Metal Substrate converters.
The cats are high flow and the overall quality seems nice.
Will of course let you know the results ;)

Yeah, saw them yesterday - look very nice!! Will be interested in your results. Do you know the CFM flow rate for the cats? Also very interested to see how low they end up hanging.

Firstly a HUGE thanks to Big Rob and Chev for taking the time to help fit these babies. There is no doubt those two are great to watch in action :)
Some pics and of course the result.. 261.2 RWKw's & around 620Nm's Torque.
Stoked with the result especially given it is not tuned yet. Tune is coming very shortly.
So out with the old..

haha JK yes don't worry the gauges are on the list. In fact I would have them now, except I decided to go the headers first..
The traction control light is definately coming on a lot more! Chev took her for a spin as well :) Sounds like a V8 SuperCar! haha

Nah mate Carlton Draft was on the menu tonight ;)
Well what a difference this mod has made. I have no doubt that these figures would not be achievable without Big Rob's cai mod. For $150 the big fella can perform this mod on a given Saturday. Well done Curtis and thanks again for us using your VE as a crash test dummy:bow: Cheers Chev

Exactly? What is the Bigrob mod?
Also, what was the improvement over exhaust alone?
Thanks,
Alex

Good job Chev & Rob. Gee those X Force extractors look a quality item, with no lose of ground clearance either. Looking at the std cats, it is a wonder that they have any reasonable flow at all. 15 degrees, gee you guys are keen working at night. Seems like you enjoy all that cold air Curtis!!

I wonder how much there is in the cats alone? It would be great if someone could test this before replacing the headers and cats together ...
Thanks,
Alex

Did they change the exhaust note much?

I wonder if they will fit on the stock catback :hide:

Thanks everyone for your positive comments! Much appreciated. It's nice to get the good results from this combo and the sound of the whole system now is nice and meaty. Throttle response feels even better and the torque gain (free power) is very noticable through mid range.
AFR's were actually improved and seemed very consistent.
If Christmas came early Zozza then Chev must be Santa and Big Rob Mrs Clause! HOHOHO :woohoo:
UT, Im pretty sure they would just bolt straight up the standard system. Depends on the flange/join but I can't remember how the standard system looked.
I wonder if they will fit on the stock catback :hide:
Hey Tone, didn't the catback fit onto the stock headers and cats?
Shep. :yup:

Hey Curtis..... 261 and counting! Man, that torque figure is unreal too. I'm soooooo jealous of your gains, and, even if ya don't get too much more power out of that 6Ltr, I bet my left one your torque should be up around 660-680 with the tune.
Mate, it's just outright sadistic and awesome awesome awesome. CHEV, ROB.. nice work.
Well done, and see ya soon.
