I need to get the guards rolled on the Monaro , does anyone know of someone south of Peth who can do a good job of this?

While Im here , does anyone know if the offset on XHP mags is the same as Holdens?

I want to put Dirty Dogs on it in 18x8.5 with 265x35x18 on the rear and 235x40x18 on the front - will they fit ok??

Cheers

Hi Ian,

We can do guard rolling. We are based in O'Connor.

Rims come in various offsets so its important that the correct offset is placed on the vehicle. Especially if you are planning on running a 265 on the rear, the offset must be correct.

As discussed we can guarantee fitment of those rims on your car with the 235front/265 rear combo.

If you would like some pricing on rims please PM me!!

Hope this helps :),

Nick

Well I got my new boost rims on Wed , then fitted 265x35 kumhos to the rear set on thurs
Next , I needed to get the rear guards rolled to fit them on - shot a call to Autofx , but their phone kept cutting out so I tried Beaurepairs in Mandurah
Yep come straight up and we'll do it

Got up there at 3.30pm and I caught up with Brad and he got straight on with it

An hour later I was on my way back to Busselton - all sweet

And to all the tyre fitters that said 265's wont go on a monaro :flipoff::flipoff: it was a piece of p1ss

Thanks for putting me on to Beaurepairs

Yep, Brad's the man in Mandurah for rims and tyres. Since he took on running Beaurepairs they've gone from strength to strength and has done heaps of custom stuff.
cheers

I'm surprised that you needed to get your guards rolled for that size tyre!

Currently got 235/40/18 & 265/35/18 tyres on our CV8 and there is a lot of clearance around the rear wheel arches.

Getting the guards rolled next Tuesday to fit up the new 245/35/19 on 19"x8.5" fronts and rear 275/30/19 on 19"x9.5".

I have had it lowered , hence the need for rolling the guards -

I run 235x40x18 on the front and 265x35x18 on the rear - there was not a hope in hell of even bolting them on before rolling the guards

I drove to Mandurah with one wheel in the boot and one strapped to the passengers seat:eyes: - when I left the shop , the coppers where their so I had to try not to look like too much of a knob wrapping a wheel up in a doona and strapping it in to the passengers seat

I might have to put the original springs back in the rear as I fuelled up in Bunbury and just near Capel I went over a harsh dip at 110kmh and one rear tyre just touched in the arch - the kumhos cost too much to slice up

You may have seen it around Busselton although I dont bring it out of the shed all that often - its delpft blue with private plates and VZ bonnet with a rough idle

i am pretty sure the offset of the xhp rims are different, i had the xhp boost rims put on mine last week 18.8.5 with 235/40's and superlows and i had to get my guards rolled

i have xhp boost wheels on my vy ss. they are 19x8.5 with 245/35/19 rubber and they rub the gaurds and the rear bumper where it joins the metal of the gaurd. this is ever so slightly but makes a horrid noise when it does. the car is still at fe2 height. its all good cause its getting the gaurds rolled in early january

as for the rims they are 42p offset for memory. hope this helps

they are going to trim foo about 5mm where it is rubbing on the bumper aswell so the tyre will clear it

how much clearance does a guard rolling give exacly

It shouldn't be rubbing there I would get the alignment checked if I was you as I have 265/30/19 under mine and mines a little lower than yours and mine only touches with a boot load of Beer and a car full of kids my rims are 19x8.5..and have had the guards rolled but doesn't touch ate the bumper..

Mine only ever touched the bumper/rear guard when I had 275/40/18's under the rear and that was only because the profile was to high.... 275/35/18 would have cleared no probs...
