Hi all.
This may seem like a stupid question, just wondering if you can remove one wheel nut without jacking the car up,as i want to replace it with a lock nut.
Cheers.

You wont have any problems removing just the one nut from each wheel.

you could remove 4 or all on flat ground without jacking it up.
Regards Lock Nuts. Although they have been on my car 8yrs,when its serviced the mechanic gets the wheel off without the KEY.Are there lock Nuts out there that work??

Not that I know of. I've used Selleys Kneed-It in the past with an oversized socket to get locknuts off after the key has gone missing. If somebody wants your rims bad enough, they will get them.

I just picked up some gorilla lock nuts from the Wheel King.. next day service from Melbourne to Perth!.. If someone gets these off your wheel without cutting them off or smashing the bolt they're bolted onto I'd be surprised.. certainly wouldn't be a quick exercise if they did!
Having said that - if they want your rims.. they'll get them.. All you can do is slow them down a little :-(
Cheers,
Steve.
