Hello,
I'm about to purchase a VT Commodore and would like to change the rear tail-lights.
The current ones look identical to this rear end:

I would like to replace my existing rear tail-lights + middle garnish with this as in my opinion it's much nicer:

Is it possible to do this rear tail light conversion without any mucking around?
If it is possible, is it easy to do?
Also - where could I purchase the nicer rear end from, knowing what they are specifically called would be easier so if anybody could shout some info out that would be great
Cheers!
Regards,
Rob

Done mine on my VT GTS and is pretty much bolt on you will need to do a bit of wiring as the vt garnish doesnt have stop lights in the garnish. And the infill panel will need to be painted. If you can try get one second hand as brand new from holden is about $700 worth

What is the in-fill panel and where would it be located on the rear end?
Would the in-fill panel be black on every VT, if so it wouldnt matter because my VT is very close to a black colour so if so, it wouldn't be noticable.

The infill panel is what sits behind the number plate and across the bottom of the garnish.
It only comes in grey plastic not painted
like you see below

Just make sure you dont go and put monaro lights in afterwards with the centre garnish still there. They look crap. Assassins looks great.

I purchased taillights off eBay from Melbourne (approx $200) - they do look fantastic and add blingage. I had to buy a new wiring harness from the supplier ($20) so the exisiting harness would reach the globes and enable me to run the reversing lights in the new lights as the standard ones ran off the boot lid garnish (on a VT1 Berlina).
I haven't removed the centre garnish yet bet as my daughter is driving it , I like the extra tailights for safety.
If someone can help me host a picture I will post it. (sorry I just signed up to photobucket)
I have to say that the headlights I bought improved the night vision enormously with projector look-alikes. Both were easy to fit. I also purchased clear side repeaters like the VTII.
cheers
