Does anyone know if a Harrop HH 112LS will fit on a VE because the firewall is different to the VZ i have got it on
Don't think it will.
Give Damian Johnson a call at Harrop or e-mail Damian@harrop.com.au

Depends on the VZ. Most VZ's are LS1-based. A VZ-2 with the 6.0ltr L76 heads will be compatible, but all others will not. The front drive pulley is also a different offset. The firewall area is not an issue.
Additionally, the intercooler radiator and the intake ducts are different. We are currently tooling for all the production ancillary components for the VE ... quite a big task.

Thanks Ken so you are making all the components so one of a VZ will fit a VE is that right

- If it is a 6.0 L76/L98 then "Yes", the additional components will match up.
- If it is a 5.7 LS1 then it will be a lot bigger job, probably uneconomical, to convert as the manifold is different ... not really viable.

ken hi mine is a vz hsv clubsport with your supercharger HH112LS DONE BY APS?
ken hi mine is a vz hsv clubsport with your supercharger HH112LS DONE BY APS?
As VZ HSV's are LS2, and standard Holden VE SS's are L76/98, the effort & cost required to make you VZ kit fit a VE would not be prohibative.
I suggest selling the LS112 kit & buying a VE HH122 kit. :)

Any further update on the TSK's Ken ???
Although we developed the TSK140 (Lysholm 2.3-based) supercharger kit for the LS1-2-6, we have elected not to release it for sale at this stage as the drive system has not satisfied our durability testing standards. We do have twin-screw superchargers available, however we do not believe they are the best solution for the LS1.
However ...We have nearly completed tooling of our new series of superchargers. We have now had a couple on test for several months are are absolutely confident of performance and durability. We expect to have a small pre-production verification batch completed and installed during August, with the first production release in September.
Those that have seen/heard/experienced the new series have all been excited.
In a word ... Awesome!

Are they an increase in capacity over the HH -122 ? and are they interchangeable ?
Are they an increase in capacity over the HH -122 ?
Yes.
Are they interchangeable ?
Some bits with some kits. Not a direct interchange onto the manifold.

Hi Ken,
Any word on the VE Supercharger kits? VE GTS in particular.
Cheers,

Cheers,
We are in the final stages of our first production run now ... we expect to be shipping by 10th September. The full range is covered ... including GTS.
Unfortunately, it would seem that we will be "sold out" before we even have stock as the orders placed already exceed the first batch volume. We are expediting another production run so the wait will be minimised.

Who should I talk to to "get in line"?
Approx. how long is "minimised"?

Drop a note to Damian (damian@harrop.com.au) or phone him on 03.9474-0900 and he will take a "placeholder". We will not require a deposit, but will take the vehicle details to ensure we make the right "mix" of model components (L76/LS2/HH112/HH122) in the next batch.
Based on current production requirements the lead-time on a typical run cycle for components from Eaton is ~8 weeks, however we are appealling to them to expedite a run for us. My guess is the second batch will not be ready for at least 8 weeks. :vpo:

Thanks, Ken,
I have been waiing for the kit to issue for a long time.
I have rung Harrops 2 or 3 times over the last 4 months and emailed them twice, about the kit and at no stage did anyone suggest putting my name down as a "placeholder". Now I've missed the first run. Grrrrrrrrrrr!!!

Do not take this date as an absolute as we are reliant on our suppliers living up to their promises too. I also doubt that all kits will be shipped within a couple of days, and as most are pre-ordered it will be on a first-ordered first-shipped basis.

I might have missed it, but what are these 122 kits worth?
Think HH122 are $1000 more than 112 UT.......might be more when you add high boost pulley kit also:)
I'm going bigger......HTV 2300...

Why do you say that? I have one of Starrs Twin Screw Whipples on mine, she's done 45,000kms all around Australia and down the strip and hasn't skipped a beat once. Why would you say they are not the best solution for an LS1....... wouldnt that depend what you were looking for?
... Why would you say they are not the best solution for an LS1....... wouldnt that depend what you were looking for?
I agree absolutely ... which is why I stated it is what "we believe" (an opinion, not proven fact). The "best" solution is an individual's choice and is biased towards their end-use, budget, servicability, asthetics, experience etc.
However ... we are in the relatively unique position of having both twin-screws and Roots-based product with an extensive testing facility on site (and access to the most comprehensive supercharger testing on the planet). We have spent (literally) thousands of hours testing various configurations on test-beds, engines, and vehicles with comprehensive and documented verification programs. We are the only company worldwide who have designed and manufactured both systems from a clean-sheet, and have then made the very expensive decision not to release one iteration.
I am confident that our beliefs and opinions regarding the technical merit of supercharged LS1's can be substatiated, however the "best" solution will always be the one which each individual chooses ... even [cough, cough] turbos.

Ha!! Love your work, good answer! I run your brakes by the way..... absolutely awesome! I heard a rumour you declined selling the Lysholm twin screws because they wouldn't pass ADR standards. Is this correct?

Nup ... just a rumour.
We didn't get as far as ADR on the twin-screw ... although it probably would not have passed the latest drive-by noise test/specification.

A little off topic I know, but why did you guys stop research on the Lysholm when it's just the European version of the whipple? Was it because of the expense they are to purchase to the public? The whipples are around $8K more expensive to purchase as a package than yours are.

Actually ... until 2 years ago the Whipple was the Lysholm unit with a Whipple badge on it. (Whipple & Lysholm had a tiff, and are still in litigation as Whipple have allegedly broken contractual commitments).
We haven't stopped research with the twin-screw ... its just that we have ceased developing it in a kit form for the Holden variants. We have other compresser applications that work very well and we will continue building on those developments. You are certainly right regarding price influencing our development ... to land a the Lysholm rotor set in Aussie is very expensive.

Sorry ... I didn't realise it was a question.
If you are having PT (WP-Qld) do the job then please ask them to ensure an order is placed ... or drop Damian a note (damian@harrop.com.au 03.9474-0900) if you want to place the order directly (please don't do both :)).

:) Hi Ken,
I recently had a H122 fitted to my LS1 Monaro. Sam's here in Sydney did the job and I must say I am impressed. Over 500 rwhp on pretty much a standard engine (other than a new cam & springs).
Only small issue I have is valve train noise ( ticking being the main concern) particularly when very warm. Most people say it is simply one of the by-products of a non standard cammed motor.
Do you have any suggestions as to a different oil or additive to reduce the noise ? I hear Miainlube stuff is good, but what do you recommend...?
...Do you have any suggestions as to a different oil or additive to reduce the noise ? I hear Miainlube stuff is good, but what do you recommend...?
I have very little experience or knowledge of lubricants, and imagine there are a lot of better informed individuals than me on the forum.
Best I can suggest is to give a couple of the major oil company tech-support lines a call. I have found the Castrol & Mobil reps to be helpful (& accurate) in the past.
Also, Fuchs have a very good technical team who are local.
Sorry I can't be much help.

I have asked pt but have not got a answer. I was hoping since the last stuffup that all involved (harrop/pt) would go above and beyond to make shure it all happens without any hickups this time. With the new release date getting closer im a bit pissed off that im asking these questions and not being told them by the people that are involved. The last thing i want is to wait longer for this f_____ blower!:vpo:

Hi VEGTS ...
As I have previously asked, who is actually ordering your kit and who do we communicate directly with ... it is my understanding that PT/WP-QLD is our customer as they have a kit on order (for you?). This forum is great for sharing information on products and we value all feedback (good & bad), however I do not consider it a good medium to be conducting individual sales.
Have you spoken with WP-QLD ... as we have been keeping them appraised of the developments. We understand the frustration of not having what you desire and we strive to deliver the best product, albeit sometimes not within an acceptable timeframe.
I can assure you that we want to be able to deliver it more than you want it delivered.
