Hey guys, Im looking for a good tasmanian performance mechanic, to do some work on my VX. Looking for some advice on who I should talk to in this regard, though a few people have recommended Performance Auto in Moonah(?). Prefer ones in the Hobart area, but would consider travelling to Launceston for a day trip occasionally. :)

Andrew Kucs at Pro Automotive in Moonah. Wouldnt trust anyone else in Tassie with mine. He built the motor in his own VL Turbo race car which happily rounds up Porches at Baskerville, and also the motor in Peter O'Keefe's Targa Torana.

I think he's about the only one unfortunately...

Depend what you mean by performance though, as I dont think he has the software to tune LS1s yet, the only ones who do are Howell Automotive, but I wouldnt let them tune my radio!

LOL @ radio. Pro Automotive may have been who I was thinking of. I just need someone to give me some advice on some mods for my VX. I might give them a call soon and see if I can organise something.

Is it a 6 or an 8. If its LS1 speak to Steve at Oztrack (forum sponsor) and see if he's coming to Tas again any time soon. He tuned my ute and its bloody awesome now!
