I am trying to learn how to put pics up here
Had a go with the coupe but didnt get it quite right so I thought Id try with the harley

Its an 06 model HD Softail Standard that I have modded

Stetched out to 95 cubic inches or 1550cc
Screaming Eagle HTCC Heads that run decompression port on each head to make it easy to start as comp is approx 11.5:1
Modded injection t/b
Dynojet programmable ignition module

Custom candy paint job and a heap of extra chrome

Pulled 105 rwhp on conservative dyno

I tell ya with 100+ hp on a bike you really move - speed is a drug lol

Would want to do something with my brakes before I contemplated too much extra in the way of ponies.

Nice ride bud,how do you stop it with stock brakes? 300 kilos is a bitch to stop! Luv the paintwork, any more ponies & it will time for chain drive! My latest hd is a 99fxstc evo, having a duel with a mate to see who can get the most out of 80cubes.Endless money pit aint they.Keep it upright,Mark.

Geez HD make it hard to keep up with the times, you have spent heaps going from 88cubes or 1450 to 95cubes and now they bring out a 96cube standard! Bit like a few of my mates had the 05 softail, fitted a wideass kit only to find the 06 came out with a 200 tire standard! All good fun though, ahhh the rush of freedom...........

I'm almost laughing after the other thread, but you do actually have a pretty nice example of a Harley!

Do you guys get pulled over there for minor stuff (i/e the side reflectors) as it would look neater without them.

Since you're obviously not scared to throw coin at it, I cna hear it all the way from Tassie screaming for a 240 rear :eyes:

What do the "things" that run along the seat/rear guard do? I know you Harley lot love your chrome, but it looks from the pics like the bike would be much cleaner looking without it...

How the frigging hell do you stop it with those brakes!!!!? It'd be white knuckle stuff with the lever to the bar looking at them...

Subframe, holds the guard/seat up!

PS, this thread is a breath of fresh air after the pointless arguement on the other.

One beautiful bike there mate. Well done.

if we ride by ourselves , the cops usually leave us alone, but as soon as 4 or 5 of us get together we are cop bait

Anything that is not quite right gets picked on - so its a bit like russian roulette

As far as brakes go , the front ones are good , but the rear ones are useless
- why do you think we wear thick soled boots haa haa

The other thread was bit of a good banter eh ??

Oh ok, thats one good thing about Tassie, its free reign when it comes to mods on anything, I saw a Harley going though the middle of town the other day, with an exhaust no longer that a foot out of each head, massive back tire with barely any guard etc.

Rear brakes are useless on any bike for stopping I think! I ride a brand new sport bike (pretty much race bike) and the backs no good for anything other than skids and tucking it in on sweepers...

The other thread was good for a laugh, and as you can see I dont hate all Harleys, just the cliche riders on stockers! I'd love a V-Rod as a 2nd bike.

Dads just brought an 06 Harley somethign a rather so I guess i'll see what I think of this one next time im up at his place. I think it might even be the same as yours, did they come in a pearl white colour?

nice but dont try and take on a trumpy rocket mate youll need twice the HP to even get close , they are a real weapon just a bit heavy.

Hey Boom

Your bike - it isnt an 06 model is it ?

Mine is an 06 model but it was the identical colour to yours

They are bloody good eh ??

We put the candy over the base colour and the decal - it shows through in full sun and looks good

It was born in August 05 but the dealer said it was 06, but I bought it in November. Its 06 spec with the 200 rear tyre. Yeah I love the thing.

Its had a full respray courtesy of a moron coming out of a driveway and canning me. The guy that did the paint did a better job than factory too.

Nah no way not at all, bit of rivalry is always good. Besides as we'd all know in here any 2 wheels is better than 4 :headbang:

Those Rocket IIIs are crazy, love the sound of the 3 cyl too, dad had a Speed Triple before the Harley I loved riding it.

I still want too see the American Chopper guys or someone similar go to town on a Rocket III to see what they come up with.
