Well lad's fire up bit torrent, because a Top Gear special is about to be shown in the UK! :dancenana:

In Top Gear’s most ambitious and arduous challenge to date Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond attempt to race from Northern Canada to the North Pole, 450 miles away. The terrain in between is some of the toughest on earth - a mix of mountainous land masses and jagged sea ice where temperatures can drop to a mind-numbing minus 65 degrees Celcius (minus 85 degrees Fahrenheit). Jeremy and James will be driving a specially adapted pick up truck whilst Richard will be travelling on something a little less high tech - a sled pulled by a team of ten Canadian Inuit Dogs.

You should of probably warned ppl it was a spoiler?
Anyway, Also i heard that they bring back the toybota, hamsters van and james' sailing boat and try to cross the english channel.......they all fail except Jeremy.

Also they ripped up a salt lake that resulted in hippies protesting.

Finally, not sure if its going to be in the series, but during the break, a Top gear presenter (many people speculated it was the stig or Jeremy) crashed a Koensiegg(spelling) CCXR (the new bio fuel 1000hp car.......there are pics if ppl want.......koensiegg quickly covered the car and put it on the back of a truck)

Also, sources from Ferrari chat said that the new Lambo LP640 Jeremy drove last season was seen in repair shop as it was crashed on Top gears track.....this time ppl are certain it was Jeremy . Apparantly the damage was so severe that it took Lambo 3 months to repair.

Bring on next season!!!!

The date for the series return hasn't be announced yet.

yeah yeah, I've seen the adds for that special last week I'm sure. On SBS.  Nuts, so incredibly jealous of their jobs..

and they still get exotic car manufacturers giving them cars to thrash like the ep on Monday when Hammond flogged the Cayenne S Turbo. hehe.

Volt you mean open up the wallets ~ahem~ and purchase the special don't you ~coughs~ :jester:

Top Gear's race for the North Pole

This Wednesday sees the Top Gear boys in their most arduous challenge to date: a 450-mile race across the Arctic to the North Pole.

And, to shake things up a bit, the traditional 'Jeremy in a supercar v James and Hammond on grotty public transport' head-to-head has been dispensed with. Instead, the Polar Challenge sees JC and Captain Slow armed with a heavily modified Toyota Hilux taking on Richard... and a team of Inuit sled-dogs.

Watch it this Wednesday at 8pm on BBC2.

That was great. They really are an ignorant bunch though! Full credit to all three for doing it. Jolly good show, what?

I was surprised they had no mechanical issues apart from hitting fuel tank/shock absorber etc. I.E. the vehicle on its own didnt break down. quite amazing.

There is now a full 1080p version available on the net... a massive 7.07GB for the hour long epsiode. Yes, I am getting it :)

For those who don't want to go that far, there is also a 720p version at a miserly 1.43GB. Getting that too!

There's no real point if your Video card and TV don't handle HDTV?

I thought the ep was interesting, but quite boring. Much prefer watching them fanging around nice cars than watching 1hr of James and Jeremy bogged in snow :werd:

I thought it was worth downloading just to see Jeremy getting pushed into freezing water.
