looked at my front tyres this morning and saw both inner edges were GONEEEEEE... so popped around to the tyre guy next to work, top bloke!! and he hooked me up with some nice tyres free of charge!

can't complain!!! haha check out the difference from my 235s i had on there, ended up putting some dunlop run flats he had lying around which are 275/35 and DAMMMM does she grip to the road now!!!

was a pain in the ass to try launch it off the lights or even when the revs got up a little it just spun before, and now i just get sucked into my seat!!

Getting the power down sure beats wheel spin imo.Nice pick up by the way.

What model Dunlops did you go with - they look a lot like the new Bridgestone Adrenalins!

Do those size tyres actually fit onto the standard rims?

Exactly what I was thinking.... 275/35/?? on a (looks like) 8' STD Clubsport rim and it fits???

Not sure which dunlops, havn't had a chance to have a close look and yep they got on there easy, he has been running 275s on the back of all his XR8s he has for many years now - no issues.

No offence, but don't you worry about insurance with them being
on such a narrow rim. Biggest the tyre shops here in SA would
fit to my 8 inch rims were 255's any bigger they refused due
to safety reasons and the fact that it is illegal. Shannons
also agreed with them when I spoke with them.
They do look good though :)
