Well its not really for the site mind it is vehicle related and thought a worth look at the thing.

Basically in the coming years all new trucks/cars will have this and will save loads of live.. Great video and worth a watch.

Some of those features would be welcome, others would be annoying. For instance, that Proximity Control automatically applies the brakes when a driver cuts in front of a truck in a dangerous manner. I see this almost every single day on the freeway commute to work. It would annoy truck drivers no end. Some drivers might even attempt it purposely to force their way into a lane knowing that the truck will have to slow down or even stop at their whim. Could get interesting.

Well its a system that can be turned off, it certainly doesn’t brake excessively just to obtain a safe distance (I’d prefer permanent on) alas to be annoyed but to know that one day it could save ppl's live is easily out weighed. We can never make anything perfect for any situation but as to making our privilege to travel these roads in a respectful safe manner, it certainly makes me feel good that I won’t have a truck parking over my car :)
