Friday down at Chevs the VE SSV was in for the 15,000 km log book service.

Was all set up on the dyno after, the plan was for a bit of "calibration"

We ran it up onthe dyno, with no pod filter on the CAI (filter was still drying) ... blardy hell lost 20 RWKW and IAT at around 49 degrees .......

Super rich it was running, dumping heaps of fuel!

Chucked on the clean and dry pod filter ........ IAT's dropped to 23 degrees and the 20 RWKW where back .......
cooler running and the AFR's were back to normal.

Anyways, calibration still being worked on.

Thanks for the class service Chev! all at a very good price.

Cheers

Peter

You sure you haven't got an intercooler filled with dry ice hooked up to that pod?

It's crazy to think the pod makes so much difference! Interesting find.. and the nice IAT is due to the BRM! ;)

Think "heat soak" and "cool down time".

Sticking a pod filter ON the end of a pipe aint gunna give you 20RWKW.

I guess that you've got a MAF tune?

MAF's need a steady flow of air to read correctly.

Instant 20RWHP loss running our CV8 without a filter when it still ran a MAF.
