Congrats on your purchase.
Did you take one for a ride before you bought it?
I don't know much about the GSXR 1000 specifically but when picking up a new bike check the tyres. The dealer is supposed to take it for a decent ride pre-delivery to scuff the tyres up and remove the waxy coating...... mine didn't and I had a heart in the mouth experience on the way home on my new bike.

Cheers.

Im not quite sure what that means?

As oppylock said, watch out for the waxy tires. Kinda slippery when new. The 06 gixxer doesnt have a programmable ECU like the 07 does. (3 modes, user switchable) The only thing the shop could do is fit a PCIII and then adjust it. From the sounds of it, you didnt ride it before you bought it. Id be crossing your fingers now that it suits you!!

K6 thou is a sweet ride altho the K7 is better again. You wont need a power commander with the standard pipe or a slip on can. What you will need is a good tyre budget, run Michelin pilot Powers, they suit the gixxer, better grip and last longer than the OEM Bridgestone.

maybe ride her around on the "C Map" for a week or so till the tyres scrub then treat yourself to the "A Map" and hang on tight...lol
a stds one made 163RWHP on our dyno on the A Map and with some slipon jardine's made 167RWHP (after a tune up)

enjoy mate although a nice bike on the road it feels better at the track for sure , we are booked in for the next ride day at Phillip Island so I am twitching nervously for that one .....lol :1peek:

Starcycle from ebay bud. Highly recommend them. I know a few others that have bought stuff there and never had an issue.
