View Full Version : Rip Shift & Clutch Day (Dyno)

Titanium
14-08-2007, 11:34 PM
Friday 24th August from 4 pm onwards at Chevs, Pizza & Beer (please be responsible).

We are fitting my Mal Wood clutch and possibly a Rip Shift to the VE.

Chev has OK'd a get together later in the afternoon and without a doubt some runs on the rollers will be on order .... time to get some cool night air in.

Hope to see the usual crew there and maybe some new faces.

Cheers

Carrum Downs! South along Stud Road to Dandenong. Then south along Dandenong-Frankston Road to Carrum Downs. About an hour in traffic for you. Remember, Melways is your friend.

Sadly.....I'll miss out again. :bawl:

Good luck lads and be sure to post the results of the day.

I'm very keen on a clutch soon, so I will monitor these types of results carefully.

Cheers,

Macca

Ill be there for sure. If we get time I might have another crack at the rollers. Wore the new tyres in a little tonight and have some 3.46 gears in her now instead of the 3.91s and sounds like there is some guys to sit in the back. See how it comes up without finishing the tune. Hmm might wind her up a bit....

Im excited now. Ill bring some blocks of wood this time Gary you can keep for the ute  Bar will probably still be hanging off though, oh well....

Sorry Macca but depending on what time it is I reckon far easier to get onto the Monash Fwy off Stud Rd and head for Hastings. Go straight on at Thompson's Rd and turn right into Hall Rd. Go along Hall Rd until you hit Frankston-Dandy Rd intersection, proceed straight ahead still and second turn on the left is Aster Ave.

I'm hearing you there Wonky and that is one of the routes the I adopt whenever I travel to see the legend of Chev!

However, with traffic the way it is on a Friday arvo, I thought the most direct route would be best for an Eastern Suburbs lad, intermittently broken with traffic control signals to assist his bearings and map referencing.

Cheers and see you on the next day out,

Macca

If your getting on at Stud Rd the traffic is usually moving along, even in peak hour.. it's before there that's the drama.. (I drive that way every day).

Might come down for a look if i can, seeing as it's only 2-3 mins away..

Trent.

Hi Guys,

Unfortunately this has to be canceled, due to family reasons advised by Chev.

Actually out of sympathy for Uncle Tone not being able to attend.

Apologise to all.

Stand by for a new date.
