We are doing another head and cam package on a VZ Maloo for a customer.
After James from BEST Performance and I had a meeting with the owner we decided on:
- Factory Heads modified to flow 636hp
- 232/234@112 lsa comp cam
- Valve springs and push rods
- 25% Underdriven balancer kit
- After market clutch
- Harrop Diff Cover
- Twin 3" Mr Muffler Hybrid F1 system
- Plus BPS Tune
We are quite confident that this Head and Cam package will meet this customers needs,
we can’t wait to see what this Maloo pulls on BPS’s dyno.
Here are a few photos:

Dropped in to see Brad and James today, they were telling me that this Maloo pulled 240RWKW stock as a rock.
Cant wait to see the final dyno sheet when its tuned :driving:

Well we have finished the Maloo, the results are OK. Just to clarify what has been done,
1. 232/234 @ 112lsa Comp cam.
2. Custom standard heads by Liddles.
3. 25% under driven pulley.
4. OTR.
5. 1 3/4'' 4-1 Pacies.
6. 3'' Stainless cats.
7. Custom 3'' Xpipe dual using the F1 mufflers.
8. B.P.S custom VCM tune.
Started with 234.6rwkw and just under 520nm stock and now has 331.7rwkw and 685nm @ 4700rpm. The thing sits in traffic and behaves almost like standard only with bigger balls. We feel there could be another 10-15rwkw in her as the speed control is cutting in at about 6000rpm.
I hope the customer will be happy.
Can't wait to finish the VE stroker.
Cheers,
Brad.

That's a bloody AWESOME result guys.
Congrats to James from BEST and Brad from Mr Muffler on the figures.
I am sure that the customer would have driven off with a big smile on his face.
Kudos must also go to James from Bayside Performance Services.
James really has a way with these motors and getting the most out of them from any package.
He takes his time to get the best out of customers cars when tuning.
Congrats again and looking forward to the VE stroker results :eyes:

Thats awesome stuff Brad.
331rwkw from that package is tuff.
Looks like the LS2 heads that Ross ported and flowed are bloody decent
Tell Ryan to go 3.9 gears then he can really see what it will pull up top. As you say it might go 340rwkw plus

hey brad and james. just a short one great job on ryans car sounds like a dream and goes damm good too. it is good to see that there are people out there that take alot pride in there work bit like my self ha ha. no really these guys are great there customer service is what will keep people coming back and talking nothing but good. i know ryan is stoked about his car have not seen him smile that much in a long time, plus i found him in the garage with the door shurt lights out and a sock in his hand. he said he was just giving his head a pollish did not know why he would do that with his pants around his ankles. thanks brad also for doing exaust and cold air on my ute did a good job there aswell. ps ryan said he will get his money back in beers so stock up bitches...

Thanks Chris,
Did you have to use a spatula to get Ryan out of his car:lmao:.
Was it spending the money that made him smile, if so James and I can make him piss his pants.:)
Seriously we are quite proud of that result and have another set of heads almost finished. All he needs is a set of 3.9's and a KAAZ and then we will really see what it has.
Cheers,
Brad...

Sorry if i missed it, but what did this Maloo package end up costing (items listed above)??
Great figures from an N/A vehicle and good to hear that it behaves like a stocker, people won't suspect it and won't know what hit 'em!!!!
