Hi Guys,
Decided it was a lovely day today to service my car and while changing the fuel filter i must have pulled at the plug on the end a little 2 hard because the T piece of plastic that connects to the filter, fuel tank and line towards the engine bay broke :(.
1. Question is does anyone know the name of this part or its part number?
2. Anyone know where i can get one on a sunday morning as I have to be in Sydney by midday.
3. Is it easy to replace or is some special tool required.
4. Anyone else been totally held up by breaking the tinest little thing on a saturday night that knows how frustrating it is so i dont feel so bad :P
Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Mate, I don't know who apart from Holden would sell the actual part !!
I think repco or autobarn were selling the removal tool, someone here had earlier had done a posting............maybe do a search !!

Mate,
Here you go !!
To release the snap lock fittings, you have to go to Repco, Bursons or similar and get some fuel line/air con release tools. They usually come in a set of a few sizes, and are about $20-30 or so. If you try to release the fittings with pliers, so risk terminally damaging the clips.
I would seriously recommend not cutting that fuel line, and just replacing it. These lines used now are not designed for cutting, and you have very high fuel pressure remember....
Hope this helps.....................

hahaha bad luck!
i just did this on my VY SS, snapped the t piece.
the fuel hose is attached to the T piece that goes back to the tank, and you have to drop the tank.
I got it towed to my holden dealer and they fitted the 3$ part. i wasnt going to that much effort!
You can get the tools that make it easy to do, or u can squeaze and wiggle around and itll pop out.
I kno how frustrating it is lying under the car trying to do it!
save the trouble and let the little grommits at holden play with it on monday!

It can't be better than the one Holden sell, because Holden don't actually make any for dealers to sell!
They are a generic tool available from many places that sell specialist automotive tools.

Ive always pulled mine off by hand on the ute. A prick but I just push and press the sides in at the same time, hold em down and pull off. Well err that works sometimes  The other tool that people see to be talking about is the one for the quick release fuel connection on the engine. Made one up out of a bottle cap..
If it makes you feel better mate, last time I did it I did it when it was hot, fuel everywhere and splashed on the hot exhaust. Never again, my life flashed before my eyes.

Walked up to holden today and $17 later i had secured the new clip and hose. 1 hour later I was all back in business. :)
Thanks for all the comments guys. Don't really wanna have to do that again.

If you clean these fittings out with compressed air first, they will come off as Jezzab suggested, by pressing on each side and giving the filter a little twist.
You really only need the special tool on the lines in the engine bay that have the steel shrouds.
Have seen one broken before and required the repairs you described, however the owner had used all manor of hose clamps and tee pieces that looked like they had been raided from his reticulation.
Glad you got it sorted.

Well aren't you the superhero now!
Yes, you said HOLDEN sell. Go to a dealer and find it in Microcat if you are so good, like you say you are! If one was listed in Microcat, THAT would be the one "HOLDEN" sell.
By saying HOLDEN, you were saying that that poor quality tool was available from ANY dealer, which was in fact a massive error. Next time, say "the aftermarket one your local dealer sells", even better actually say what brand that poor quality one was, and then your input will mean a lot more!
Yeah, yet again up to your usual "quality" input warrick...

Hardly. People that know me don't think that at all. It's only blind sheep on this forum following each others bums that think that...sniff, sniff, baaah, baaah....
It's no use following your lead and checking out most dealers for these tools, because most don't SELL them!
My point was for you to differentiate "Holden" from "your LOCAL dealer".
There is actually a BIG difference, especially when talking generic aftermarket parts like you are here. If you can't separate the two well, whatever, again I'm bored having arguments with you.

so now you have to resort to calling everyone on this forum sheep & bum sniffers.you really are a piece, aren't you.you have such a high opinion of yourself without any right to have it.you still cant understand a paragraph can you.the whole point was suggesting to get the ebay item, the holden item was secondary.just because you dont have an item listed doesnt mean 90% of other dealers dont either,or do you profess to know every item every holden dealer carries?no matter,i was helping the fellow member of the sheep flock out, something you obviously cant or wont do.i could end here with lowering myself to your level with some name calling, but you'd probably misunderstand again & start looking for more sheep? i know what you should do.............GO AWAY!
i'm proud to be one of "these" sheep.shame your not.

Maybe you need to grow up and let people make their own judged descions. who cares if holden dont make it... anyone can make it in about 30 seconds with a knife and a bottle cap.....

Gents,
Just broken the same pipe connector while changing the fuel filter on my VX GTS :( (Part 92057523) - now the bad news, I drive my HSV in the UK and Vauxhall don't stock this pipe (believe it's the same part as fitted to the CV8 Monaro imported by Vauxhall into the UK).
Anyone able to help?
