Hi Guys,
Just interested what sort of power adding an ehaust and extractors has. My car was 225KW standard from the factory, I recently put pacemakers and a dual 2.5" sports system on it. Sounds lovely and really goes well - huge difference to what it was like in stock guise. Was just wondeing if anyone has any idea what KW increase these mods may have equated to? I'm not fussed about a dyno test or anything like that, was just interested.

How long's a piece of string? :D Pacies I assume probably means long 4-1s?? They are generally considered pretty good so depends on the system you had put on. Could be 10 - 25 rwkw (rear wheel kw) over the 170?? or so it probably had from the factory if it's a half decent setup, though some cars have been known to actually lose power!

i had noticeable SOTP increase in power from stock to catback. Then 21rwkw when i went put tri-y headers and hi-flow cats on.
I would say I received at least 25rwkw from my system, without intake modifications.

Thanks Guys appreciate that. Oh it certainly hasn't lost any power, its gained some! Takes off from the lights like a rocket now, and no mid range hesitation like it had with the stock system.

my car made 202 rw with my remus race exhaust, k&n and a bit more timing from the previous owner. with pacey 4 > 1 1 3/4 and 3" s/s high flows the power went upto 205 rw and just over 480nm

That's a heck of a lot of expense for only 3kw, unless the torque went up appreciably coz that's what really counts. Though I have seen it argued that power and torque are directly related for a given car.

true about the kw but like i said the tune had been fiddled with. extra 20 or so nm's everywhere also
