As he said, piece of piss - there's plenty of spots to tie them down!

with tail gate down yes, otherwise no or you wouldn't have to put them on the angle

if its a dirt bike, you will need to put the tailgate down to get 2 bikes in, but they will fit.

Vustorm, if you are going to be doing it on a regular basis, 2 bikes in the back that is, consider getting some rails with tie down points made up that you can bolt in when you need them. Takes any load off the tail gate and the tie down points will be stronger. A mate had one made years ago for his Hilux (tiny tray). Worked a treat and very easy to use. Any welder would be able to do it for you, very simple. Cheers.

i put 2 yz450fs in the back of my vu ute all the time bolted a eye bolt in the middle of the fuel tank cover for a tie down. the bikes dont sit on the tail gate so you can lift the back up to a 45degree angle and strap it up against the tyres looks cool as well

i thought the VU's were much bigger than the VS in the tray?
dirt bikes yz250's and the four strokes almost fit in a VS, one does with the gate up, 2 with the gate down or the back wheels sitting up on a closed gate. they don't miss by much on the gate, so if the VU is bigger why don't they fit right in on them??
bikes seem to ride ok with the gate up and the back wheels sitting on top as an alternative. just need 3 ppl to do it. one on each bike and one to shut the gate.

Have you guys put extra tie down points in or something? I haven't got anywhere to tie down to from memory.

yeah there are plenty of tie downs in the VU, have a look that your trayliner (if you have one) has not been put in properly and is covering them up.
I bent the 4 rear ones up and made right angled loops to get the ratchet straps through as the factory tabs are almost useless IMO. 2 yz250s can fit in with tailgate down and surprisingly tailgate doesn't bounce around too much. just make sure you dont have a towbar on at the time.

The only decent tie down points are the front 2 corners, not sure I'd trust the ones down the side. You can get an aftermarket set of bars (like a mini-bullbar) to put on the open tailgate and stop stuff falling out the back.
See them in Dirt Action magazine .. pretty $$ though.

Slight derail, but do you reckon you could get a roadbike into the back of a Panno?

Yeah it would be too high upright, you might get it in at a bit of an angle, but it wouldnt be pretty lol
