The VZ's that use the bigger bolts are the ones that are FACTORY FITTED with the 320mm front upgrade brakes.
For 04-05 VZ's, that is Monaro and SSZ.
For 06 models, that is the SS 6 litre models only. All other 6 litre VZ's use the regular brakes/small bolts. V6 all use the small bolts.
Models with HBD "performance" brakes still use the small bolts, but with adaptor sleeves.
Small bolts- M12 x 1.5
Large bolts- M14 x 1.75

Hey PD these 05 ssz's must be a bit of a heinz variety,
My son was working on his mates which has the big brakes

they throw in a few goodies but it seems they still use the 3.07 diff gears, according to the vin its based on an executive, would that be right, (3,07's) ?

Do the front brake hoses need to be changed when putting on the SS 320mm brakes onto a VZ SV8?

,,,, but with adaptor sleeves.

Where can I get these from in Sydney?

There were no other driveline changes over SS, so whatever the regular ratio is on SS will be the same on SSV.
The rest was visual stuff. Leather, climate control, badges, gauges, not much else. Pretty much just what they put into 06 SS models, but the 06's didn't have painted calipers.

Brake hoses are different.
If a local dealer can't help out, send me a PM on the sleeves. I have one set spare.
