Hello all,

I have a question regarding race tracks over Aus.
I'm coming on October to Aus and i wish to do one or two days in the race track.
I will be in Melbourne and Cairns.
Can you recommend me a race track nearby those places, where i can
rent a motorcycle and gear and maybe even get an instruction?
if you have a link to their homepage it will be great, or any other details about tracks.
I know only the Phillip Island track ( i miss the MotoGP race on Oct 14th :bawl: )
Do they have Open days too? are they more expansive than other tracks?

Sorry about all the questions, i just believe asking locals is the best way getting around.

Thanks.
Eran

Ride days on the east coast are held at Philip Island & Winton - Both Victoria. Eastern Creek & Oran Park - Both NSW. Queensland Raceway & Broadford (I think) - Both Queensland. None that I know of around Cairns.

Best riding up at the top end is Dirt Bike riding there are some great tour operators up there.
google dirt bike tours cairns - Google Search (http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en&q=dirt+bike+tours+cairns&meta=)

Phillip Island is awesome, but very expensive.

Broadford is about a 50 minute drive north of Melbourne and is a good track, if a little unsophisticated, that is reasonably priced.

Don't know about anything near Cairns. The only tracks I know in Queensland are Lakeside (good track), Queensland Raceway (boring) and Morgan Park Raceway (a challenging track, but a long drive - over 2 hours - west of Brisbane).

Hope this helps.

Nup, nothing remotely near Cairnes. Phillip island is good if you like fast tracks with long straights and sweeping corners, Winton is shorter and more twisty but good fun.
