I have a VE SS M6 and i notice " knocks " from rear end drive train between gear changes. I have to pretty gentle with clutch to avoid it. Has anyone else experienced this problem ?
I'm going in for a 3000km check up soon, I will see what the dealer has to say but I wanted to find out if this is a common issue

Almost like a diff/tailshaft slap?
Try driving in 6th and hen take your foot off accel, then push back on. does it clunk hard?
This is what my car does. Had holden check it out and it was found to be 'within specs'. Takes a bit of getting used to on how to change gears and not do it, but apparently its pretty common in all makes.

I picked up my SSV a week ago and noticed the same problem a few days later, the car had onlydone 50 k's at the time I noticed it. I am not sure if it is a driveline issue or rear suspension problem, even with the stereo turned up you can still hear a dull thud in the cabin between 1st,2nd and occasionally third. A member from the holden service department came for a drive on Friday arvo and said yes that is a problem and we will look into it as soon as I can drop it into them this week.
