hello im wondering if i can install a vs power steering pump and resivor in a vn/vp and if the hose that goes on the back of the pump goes on the same way as i want to have a go at modifying a vs/vt/vx/vz power sterring pump resivor to fit a vn/vp.
also when my power steering pump completely ran out of fluid today i went back to using a vaoline brand fluid dx3 from using a bp brand before the steering is a little better in car parks but not 100% still a little hard but better.
thanks for your time

BACK OFF on the attitude, its uncalled for.
I can't see why you can't convert to the later arrangement if thats your plan,
Since theres both a VN/VS in my yard I'll go out and check em out and post back later.

you cant do it, vs pump has different reservior requirements, so pump is different.
Well said tony66.:woohoo:
Bitza, maybe you should read some of the other threads on the same issue by the same guy to see that we have been trying to help this dude, and cut tony some slack. He only said what I wanted to. This is thread number 4 on this issue.

Maybe I should of said "This is the first time I've seen 1 of his threads" and maybe you also didn't read my reply about checking out the 2 models as I have both here for comparision. Now after looking at both models his idea won't work successfully, because the VS pump is located low on the motor. Fitting the VS pump on the VN/VP mount locates the pump higher than the remote reservoir, so he may as well buy the proper c/o or reco VN/VP pump to suit.

Hey Craig,
Don't sweat it mate. I read your post but the first bit I wrote was for the dude who started the thread. I wasn't having a go at you.
Cheers,
Scoot.
By the way, totally agree with you.
