Wow ok thats interesting, for some reason i thought CSV stopped doing this. Be interesting to see what the specs are as they were producing some pretty good numbers from their older packages.

They were all butt-ugly though....

... in my opinion of course!!!!

I loved them apart from the big Whale Tale. Il never forget the first time i seen a VX Strada for the first time. It was bloddy unreal. I view CSV's as a more exclusive HSV. But after the VX CSV just seemed to stop producing cars, i know with VY they didnt do any body moderfications and after VY i dont htink they did anything at all.

the CSV VT Strada Extreme SiR was an insane machine.
i remember the article in motor back in the day where it popped the GTHO Phase III off the Fastest Australian Production car crown...i still think i have the article at home.

the only problem with CSV is there expensive for a HSV wannabe group.
they buy the Holden variant and badge it, interior and some engine/drivetrain mods...

Phase 3 was not the fastest Australian production car, the E49
Charger was. Phase 3 was the fastest production sedan. Just
thought I would set that straight :)

from memory I can't remember that CSV was ever out there to be wannabe HSV's, and I think that came from Peters own words. I could be wrong but CSV were out there to make fast commodores for the likes of people who wanted something more than holden/hsv were putting out.

They also did a statesman mid 90's that was not far from the pace of the mercs/bmws and also had a psuedo-tiptronic auto, all made for a customer. ripper of a limo it was but not out there to steal hsv sales.

Good to see they are going for a hit at the E-series will be a very interesting vehicle when comes out.

they get a commodore, change badges, interior mods, some engine/drivetrain mods, brake mods, etc and sell the car

i think there a great organisation and looked at purchasing one a couple of years back.
its great to buy a new car...give it to them and make it completely unique to the way the customer wants it.

for those that wanna have a look or read up about them there site is:
http://www.csvaustralia.com

the only problem the site hasnt been updated with the car models from all the way back in VX/VY times

Not from CSV. HSV are exporting the VER8 to the Middle East in left hand drive and it is call the CR8 and badged as a Chevy so it was more that likely these cars that you saw on the truck. CSV did the Cross 8 in the VY (made the mags) and will not be doing anything with the VE's at this stage (other than mods of course). In saying that, keep an eye out for the next Wheels mag!

In terms of what they have done and who has the fastest production cars etc, visit their website and look under "About CSV" "Fast Facts".

Oh and they are about to launch a OTRCAI for the VE.

no worries EXCESSV, I think I saw your comment from the wrong angle. Agreed CSV are the same to Holden as Brabus is to Mercedes.

Maybe CSV next big hit is with the E-series, without doubt more potent than the current HSV range. Cant wait till someone gets a pic of one

As i mentioned earlier, they are not CSV cars, they are HSV CR8's, left hand drive R8's going to the middle east. Interesting that HSV are using the CSV badge!

The VE OTRCAI are brilliant. Look factory (better) and are making 12rwkw instantly and can be maf or mafless tuned. Patent has just been issued and will be available direct or from other tuners (details being finalised). Alot of R&D went into them and is a great product. Would post some pics but they are not a sponsor (interested though!).

Hahaha Pete is not a real lover of the forum from what he tells me:confused: He was on here all the time up to about 2005. Do search for CSV and will find his old posts!! Personally i dont think he needs the forum for extra work and to help him sell his products his shop is allways full, and he is a real man with the now how on anything Ls1,Ls2,Ls7. He has a VE ssv in the shop at the moment and its got a stroked ls7 in it pulling MASSIVE power.:) CSV:rofl:

G'day mate. The car is a VE GTS with a tuned LS7 and it makes good power. The shop is always full and going from what you have said, the customers are happy. We are just trying to play by the forum rules. Any one with any questions on the OTRCAI can contact CSV. I think the pictures speak for themselves and the product has all the necessary patent protection and we just want the enthusaists and the tuners to see what is available for their VE's. The product will be officailly launched in the coming weeks but orders are being taken.

Not trying to plug CSV in any way, thats just my opinion:) I am sure the forum sponsors will do just as good a job to!! Their feedback is sensational:smilesandbanana:

Now THAT is some funny shit

Especially considering that for the last couple of years, CSV have been making thousands of dollars by selling inferior fibreglass OTRs directly stolen off a forum sponsor (Power Torque!!) :flipoff:

If I understand / heard correctly, an authorised (for want of a better word) dealer may get a disc with the tweaks, not sure if a DIY install is an option.

I took up the offer of the install for the price I paid. So I am happy.

Cheers
