Gday,
Picked up my SSV last monday and i can't be prouder. The SSV is awesome :):):)
So far its got...
20" ROH Prowlers
Deleted spoiler
Deleted rear badges
Calais garnish
Pedders coilovers- Dropped 60mm in the front and 75mm in the rear :)
Think i'll either raise the rear 5-10mm to look level with the front, or just lower the front a little more. Only got it done today so ill wait and see how it goes. The ride if firm but not as hard as i thought it would be.

The front looks great and the ride height is awesome. However, from the back it looks a bit like a Magna.

Nice ride you got there mate.
That looks nice and tuff being that low. The spoilerless look is definatly catching on, its a good look I reckon.
Some nice dark tint will do her some good. Keep us updated.

Yeah i had a Chev grille for it but ended up selling it. Didnt like the look of it. Trying to think of some number plates but my mind is blank.

wholey stuffin duck sh*t mate that looks bloody awesome!!!!! massive fan of white cars, and i do like it with out the wing on the back, but it looks a little bare, might just need that big holden badge put back on or a smaller one. but well done, and that ride height is spot on!

Get a senator spoiler for it and stick the SS badges back on.
Otherwise it looks sweet mate well done.

Mate, my initial reaction is "shit hot!" ... but the rear view is too Magna 380 for my liking!! I love the stance. Don't think the front needs to come down anymore... if anything i'd hike up the rear slightly. Also think you should at least keep the V badge on the back (but i'd keep them all on)
I also think those wheels would look better with the white duco if the rim of the wheel was chrome.
but overall mean stance and nice rig!!

Looks great! Not sure about whitewall tyres though. Think it would spoil the current mean look and make it look a bit :limpy: but I could be persuaded possibly if someone could photochop it.
Get a senator spoiler for it and stick the SS badges back on.
Otherwise it looks sweet mate well done.
Senator spoilers apparently won't fit due to different tail lights. Hopefully the G8 spoiler will be for local release!

very nice ride mate! De-badging is nice, but i would put the rear badges back on coz the ass does look bear and with the V series lights, it is starting to look ricer....very nice though, love the stance and rims

Very Impressive, I like it a lot. Personally I think the badges should stay on, without the SS badges, it kinda loses some of its raw appeal.

Yes, keep the badges on otherwise it looks like an Omega from the rear - or a V8 Berlina.

Looks good mate.
just my thoughts but i reckon put the wing back on and leave the badges on.
White is such a clean colour, but from the back without a wing it resembles an omega IMO

I thought "RICE" was having lots of badges/stickers, large spoilers and a tin can exhaust???
Im happy with the way it looks. Trying to be a little different from everything thats out there. I suppose because its different others are quick to dislike/disagree with what ive done, but i remember when the VE's came out, i hated them... :errr: I have since owned 2 models and love VE's now :) Im sure if you saw the car in the flesh it'll grow on you.
Cheers for the replies anyway.

Very tidy !:)
Welcome to the SS-V club.:yahoo:
Definitey something different & not like any other SS-V I have seen. Stance is sweet and the spoilerless look is damn hot. I think I will leave mine on until a G8 style becomes available though. It does look a little plain from the back but I doubt you will be comfused with an Omega with the 4 pipes sticking out the back and the roar once you get the KPM on. (maybe from a distance on cruise / light throttle)
Don't know about the whitewalls - still haven't seen a car improved by them !:spew:

thats true, but i dunno, just something about the ssv rear which *needs* some badging...hard to explain.

heres some ideas for number plate names... lol.. i understand you will prolly laugh at my expense.. :P I might just write an explanation next to it on why i thought of these names
Whitening (Its clean as, and looks like someones given it Teeth whitening lol)
Mr Sheen (Simple Clean)
Dericed (Debadged, no bullsh*t)
WhiteHot (its smokin hot, the hottest kinda hot)
Ice (its ice cold, in the good way lol)
I would love to see Mr. Sheen on a car, especially something thats been debadged and as clean looking as that car.

Gday,
Its been a while since i updated my page so i thought id get back on it. Will post new pics tomorrow as its been raining in Sydney and the cars filthy.
Im thoroughly enjoying the SSV and have only had a few issues. They were a faulty oil sensor which was immediately fixed by holden and occasional issues with the left scroll button on the steering wheel.
Had the suspension raised a little in the back to even out the stance. Scraped severly in Darling Harbour carpark a few weeks ago. It felt like we were going to get stuck!
Only mod has been the window tinting. Just a little bit darker than legal to protect me from the suns harmful rays :) Ive also been flirting with the ideas of whitewalls, painting the front badge black and the brakes either white or red (haven't decided yet).
Here are some crappy pics i did in paint to give you an idea. I am liking the whitewall look. Let me know your thoughts, Cheers

Very very nice so far (even if it is a little too low - imho).
Just finish it of with some tint, a senator spoiler and some big brakes to go with those very nice rims.

Car looks ok mate but im a fan of leaving the badges and spoiler unless you can a senator/G8 spoiler lip on it. The white walls might work im not sure but the car is lower than what i would go but overall stance of the car is very nice.

the white walls seem to work lol dont paint badge black and i prefer the spoiler onnnn
Remove side badges????
I'd leave them, and put the rear badges back on.
Sorry, but the rear screams "Omega" to me. That was the first thing I thought of. :(

nice looking ride mate, how does it go over a bumpy road?
I usually drive on pretty good roads so its not too bad, the ride is pretty firm but it doesn't really bother me, Ive always had lowered cars so im used to it.
I have decided to get the whitewalls done. They will be going on monday week so i'll post up some new pics then. Washed the car monday and it rained 30mins later :vpo: Suposed to rain all week.
Good to see im getting some good replies finally. Getting sick of people telling me to put badges and spoiler back on!
Cheers
