There has been a walky sold for 150K already
2 GTSRs I know of that have gone for 130K+
The phase 3s are already being listed for 1 million.
I cant see todays cars ever getting near that figure as long as there is walkys and phase 3s still available to those with money to burn.

I would say anything with low build numbers would be a good investment

Not a Holden but the 40th Anniversary Edition Ford GT's may be worth something.
I also agree with the Coupe4 being one to look out for. Holden has never really had any limited production run cars recently so I doubt there would be too many future investments in a new car at the moment.

I'd like to think that maybe anything from the HSV stable from past to present. But who would have predicted the prices of some of the vehicles today? I'm still
kicking myself on not buying a VK Brock Director late 2005 for a fraction of what they fetch nowadays.

Nothing HSV, as it is essentially still mass produced...
I'd like to think My Monaro, but I don't care (5 years old, 31K)

I bought my international for about 5k less than it has been valued at... does that count? Think i should sell now...

The only things collectable will be limited builds and cars that were far ahead of the rest of the pack in my opinion.
Coupe 4 (maybe 100 made - if that)
GTS Coupes (452 ever made)
etc.

The VN Group A was my choice, nearly had it 12 months now, it's only gone up enough to cover the repayments, insurance and rego so far..so essentially not cost anything.

If it has 2 doors, a big engine, limited build and original condition it will be a good investment. Also any cars that raced, or race edition will be good to have in the future. The old man has his VK Group A as an investment, and is soon to buy another toy.
