Hey guys, got a maf tune done for the car through a mail order....
well anyways i went down to the shop in morwell and wat can i say....
big change and diff in the car and the way she drives.....
sideways shifts in 2nd is pretty mad.....
and my fuel use is pretty dam good....im avg'n about 13litres/100km
and thats with lots of happy squirts with the new found power.....so id be interested to know how she'll be once i tame down a bit :)
The workshop up in morwell is pretty good, heaps of performance cars a newer shape mustang s/charged with an abundance of power and lots of great help.....the bloke that done the tune showed me everything and explained wat each thing does, not that i understood most of it but still good none the less......
So just a free plug for Independent Motorsport and a happy customer.....
Cheers

these guys did my vx berlina wagon a couple of years ago, and also the auto and I couldnt complain about the job they did. Heaps more power, fuel was good.
still get current wagon serviced there. It was tuned by someone else and doesn't seem to have the same power as the old one with identical boltons.
also very friendly and don't mind shootin' the shit.
regards dubes
Oops, didn't realise above post. Won't do again.

It's fine making a personal recommendation about a workshop, provided:
1. The poster has absolutley no association with that workshop other than as a customer
and
2. The post doesn't read like an infomercial with Moira on the homeshopping network

Good to hear. Thats the impression I have got over the years. No phone numbers, no "shopping network style" posts (that cracked me up :lmao:), etc

Yeah, I bought a mail order tune for my VU series 2 ute from these guys. Posted the ecu express post on monday and had it back in my hands on wednesday morning. I'm in Newcastle and these guys are in Victoria.
The ute has a few mods: Advance tri-y headers, dual ballistic 100cpsi cats then a dual 2.5in cat back system with straight through mufflers. What a massive difference the tune made. With the factory tune, the car used to feel flat from idle to about 2500, ran so rich you could smell the exhaust behind the car and got poor overall economy. Now it feels like a LS1 should. Just a massive improvement on torque and it screams on the top end. Need to get it down to the local dyno and get some numbers. Still running the standard plugs too, they recommend NGK TR6's, the v type electrode. Anyone had any experience with those?
