ordering a SS ute and was looking into fitting the SSV 19" to the ute over the Stock Bi-spoke 18", I've been quoted about $2500 for the upgrade, plus I'm in for the leather seats at $1250, pity the SSV doesnt come stock with the hard lid dammit.
Is that about right cost wise for the 19" upgrade, I'm thinking I'd rather stick with the 18" for that $$ and get a more supple ride and a tad more load capacity,
What's people opinion.?

Mate the dealers are bein tight as a fishes arsehole at the moment wit the release of the ute.. the only thing you can hit em up on is the accessories, so have a crack at it!

I was originally quoted $2k to upgrade to 20's from th 19's on the SSV ute, but looks like i should be getting it a fair bit cheaper now.....

if you dont mind me askin what dealer are you dealing with??
and WHAT COLOUR!?!??!:):)

The main reason i'm saying push for the 19's is i reckon the 18's look.... well... small and.... crap!!!
IMHO

If you are in Perth there is a set of SSV 19's for sale from a forum member.

buy those then you would have both!

Not much difference in ride between 18's and 19's.

I asked for a price on an SSV Ute with an upgrade from 19's to 20's ... $2k is a rip off!

busselton holden and I was tossing up between the green or red, but some photos I saw from sandown shows the greens quite a bit lighter than the brochure, so I'm going for the red, Hell, either colour was good but the red matches the motorbike :D

", had a quick look in the for sale section, I'll have to do a search.

I think you migt find those photos were a bit washed out and the colour will be alot more similiar to the brochure!
all the colours of the surrounds and everything in thosephotos are washed out...

Although i'm not usually that keen on red utes.... the ve is a different story... i like the red.... i'm still getting morpheous myself tho:xmas:

Apparently they are not allowed to budge on the price of the ute but accessories they can....

I'm dealing with north city, i hope busselton are good to deal with...

I also agree that the pics dont look quite right & are not the best, I guess the best thing to do is check them out in the flesh. I am as yet undecided on the new "hero" colours.

You would think that the hard lid would be standard on the SSV & a option on the lesser models, & yeah I agree that the SSV wheels look much better than the SV6/SS wheels.

Theres no way that a set of SSV's would cost $2500 more that the SS wheels. Are they giving you the SS wheels as well? I bought a set of SSV's for $950 and tyres for $300 each. I know that they use Bridgestones, but there is not a difference of $2500 from 18inch to 19 inch.

I would sell ya a set of VE R8 clubby rims and tyres for $2500 for a full set of 5! nice 275's on the rear ... wooo hooo.

Get ya yoot, with 18's then shop on the forum for a set of 19's that way you will have both.

nope, I believe that was a swap over cost, I dont get the 18", I think I'll just get the 18" and look for a set of 19" once I take delivery, like ringing excessive :-)

Or titanium ;-)

Think about what are your main wants out of the ute by Comparing the SS to the SS-V. Obviously you want the leather and hardtop but are willing stick with the 18" even though you want the 19"s. Are you phased about the alloy pedals, stereo, climate, option of coloured interior and projector lights (and don't forget the little 'V' badge which makes you better than the non 'V' owners :stick: ).

My opinion, work out exactly what your budget is. If it fits a stock SS-V, go top of the line and get the SS-V since it comes with all the goodies and purchase a hardlid down the track. If you really aren't phased about all the extras except leather, wheels and hardlid, get the basic SS and by the 19" wheels later on (reading above it look like your've got heaps of 2nd hand wheel options).

Hope that helps
