Hey guys.

I am involved in a build that consists of a VT wagon manual.

Remac built motor (gen III) twin turbo manual.

We are currently getting the car ready for the turbo motor.

In standard form it is a gen III manual already.

Can anyone suggest a good location for the battery other than the engine bay??
We need the room for the intercooler piping etc.

would be good to hear locations other than the boot and bear in mind it is a wagon.

cheers guys/girls!!

Gday mate.
i have been considering this for a while too and the only location I have been able to think of in my wagon is if I got a custom sub box made up that had a space between the subs to house the battery.

Cheers

Get yourself a good dry cell battery like Odyssey and you can put it anywhere and not worry about fumes or spillage.
I changed to this after doing some track work and battery acid all over the bay. Here is a link for you http://www.odysseybatteries.com/applications/auto.htm

Ah ha!

Thanks guys!

I like the idea of a dry cell Battery hidden in some form of enclosure.

I reckon thats waht we will do!

Thanks again for the help and suggestions.

Cheers!

I know of one forum member who sold his TT kit because of this issue. If you plan to get this engineered it may be wise to talk to the engineer what he will certify before you go to far.

But if you do do it I want pictures as well :)

It is all go fellas!

the motor will be in within two weeks complete with twin turbo setup!

i will take some pics and post em on 'ere when it's all running!
the same motor combo in an SA driven Monaro has already made an easy 450rwkw through and auto at a modest 12psi from memory. Should be an interesting wagon to drive thats for sure!

thanks for the suggestions again guys!

cheers!
