Hi Everybody,
I thinking about getting some new springs. What brand would you reconmend, price for parts and fitting? Just an average price. That would be great.
Thanks Bigtown.

I guess the obvious question is why do you want to upgrade? Are you getting valve float at high revs? Does your engine have high KMs on it? Upgrading to new springs may not yield much improvement over the stock springs if they are still in good working order.
I got mine done as part of a cam package because the car had 150ks on it, I give it a hard time including 1/4 mile work and because it was a convenient time to upgrade with the cam going in. I got 918s.
Cheers

If your only runnin a stock cam and all you would be better off going the 915's.

918's are a good choice
Personally I'd give the Comp 918's a miss. Lots of breakages noted on various forums since Comp changed production. If one breaks, say goodbye to your engine.

I spoke to a guy at our private day at EC who had lost his motor due to a "mexican" set of 918's breaking the night before. Mine are coming out in a bit over a weeks time.
cheers

I think people should think about a maintainence program for their aftermarket valve springs. Probably at about 50000k's get em swaped out again. I will be changing my new ones after about 18 months. They don't last forever with an aftermarket cam installed and breaking one often involves a totaled motor.
I saw a motor that had a 918 break a cpl weeks ago and it was totaled, the springs were abit over 2 years old and dropped a valve at WOT . The motor was junk and only thing worth keeping was 1 cylinder head !!
cheers

Or another choice is to just get double springs such as 921's or similar for that peace of mind - I did.
