I need a new cat for the exhaust and need some advice on which is the best cat out of Magnaflow , Metal cat or is there any other specific metal substrate I should be looking for. Which flows the best?

Cheers

I am not real sure what is best, but i know that you can import a metal cat that is 220 flow for under 300 a pair from the states.

several users have done this and they seem to be happy so that may be another option.

I know that i will be doing this soon myself.

Yes they are on ebay but the company also has metal ones aswell. this is what they sent me.

Hi, The price of the metallic cats are $89.95 each. To ship TWO of these to you by USPS the cost for S/H will be $46.86.

Make sure you do some research on this because there are alot of ppl selling "metal" magnaflow cats. The only metal cats magnaflow make are spun as one single piece and are completely round. Check the website. Either way the non metalic flow well and are resonably priced

I've bought from there before and they were fine to deal with. Only slight?? hitch was I had to get a friend in the US to buy them for me and send over as they won't accept Aussie credit cards and won't ship to here.

ive got the same ones as GMMAD, and had no problems, make it sound so much deeper under throttle, but mine has develpoed alot of crackling when backed of over last few weeks, but apparently a tune can sort that out and they are the metal substrate of ebay us, almost identical to the magnaflow except not polished stainless

I think the highest flowing cat would be ther Persian variety, seems to flow a lot more volume than the standard tabby. Fairly pricey over your usual standard feral though but worth it I guess.

PowerTorque have some really good metal substrate cats - they are really high flowing - in fact the figures suggest they are some of the highest flowing ones out there. I have the 3" variety on mine and they are brilliant. Give Shaun a call on 07 3881 3999 and ask about the cats on LBT - he'll know what you mean. Also Vulture has them as well.

Cheers,
