Hi all, i know some of you are going to take the piss out of me for this, but it is the first V8 i have owned and 2nd car in total (first being a Honda Civic), now i have a completely stock VX Series II SS, last night i set a cold air intake up consisting of a 3.5" to 3.0" reducer from the factory MAF pipe, to a piece of stainless piping, i removed the lid of my factory air box and sat the pod in the bottom half, i put a Blitz stainless mesh pod on there, when i took it for a drive, the most noticeable thing was the engine sound, still with stock exhaust the engine/ car sounded much louder, i could actually tell it was a V8, is this normal, it just sounds lumpier than before.....

I know its a silly question but yeah, any advice would be great.

Cheers

Every intake mod I have done has changed the exhaust note
to some extent, more air in, more going out. You really need
to piss that factory catback off though, the VT-VX exhaust
are the most restrictive LS1 exhaust of all. Plenty of good
value replacements around these days :)

For sure the CAI mod will change the sound of your LS1, stock intake and exhaust your civic waould of sounded louder :)
