Hi, I have sent an email requesting assistance a few days ago so I thought this might get a faster response.

I was a member here a few years ago as NOW285 but I could not get this name working again for some reason so here I am as biffhsv.

As I know REDHOT SS and Markone2 I was hoping you could restore my previous forum privileges?

I also have been told via a PM of a car for sale but I am unable to reply to him?


Is it possible to move me passed the newbie stage so I can start replying?

Send me a PM with the email address you previously registered this account under and i will look into it and see what i can do. Just remember we are all volunteers (moderators) so sometimes it can take a while till someone gets a chance to go through the inbox.

BTW as im a moderator you should be able to PM me regardless.

This is very frustrating!!!!!!

I am looking to buy a car and can see the adds here but when I post a message it tells me the Moderators will screen it first.

When does this happen? If all these restrictions are put in place for a reason thats fine but please tell me what are the risks of repling to a for sale section?

One risk is the thread might get clogged with replies like
"Wicked ride man you should get what your asking easy"

Do you realise that you've been back on the forum for a week and you seem to have done nothing but whinge?

You posted in the FS thread at 10.23pm last night, and then complain because the Mods don't get out of bed to approve it for you by 8.50am the next morning? We don't sit here all night just in case someone decides to post in the Classifieds. At no point do we promise "instant approval 24/7" - it gets done when we get to it - pure and simple.
If you don't like the Classifieds terms, go shopping on Carsales instead :idea: .... they'll give you a phone number to ring, but I assure you if you tried to ring a seller after 10:23pm at night, you wouldn't exactly be Mr.Popular

The "restriction on your account" (due to your non-validation) will only be removed once someone else nominates you, just like everyone else on the forums. Try PMing the people who know you and get them to email the nomination.

Even with the current status of your account, you have more than enough posts to be able to PM and Email the seller. If they chose not to respond to you through this method, then that's an issue between you and them, not the Mods.

Yes, I do remember you and yes, you are free to express your opinion, but try getting a little bit of patience as well. You posted late at night and then come back on first thing in the morning after less than 12hrs complaining that noone had approved your post yet. As I said, we don't just sit here all night on the off chance you might want to post in the Classifieds after 10pm on a Friday night

This is the 3rd time I have had this problem. I had one of the guys I was trying to talk to regarding a car was logged on on this site but by the time my reply was listed he was gone. Its very frustrating when you cant talk to someone because of rules that didn't apply to you before but know do.

I do understand that this run by a volunteer group of moderators but I know I was validated before and now for some reason there is no record of that.

lol Noddy, ill give you a tip for free. Pissing the mods off wont win you any favors. It may just delay those threads being actioned even more. Try reading Kris's posts without the angry eyes. All your questions would have been answered with a read of the FAQ and sticky threads. The mods arent here 24/7 to be slaves for the members. Maybe re-read your own posts... i can see they could piss off the mods quite easy even if that wasnt your intention.

Don't know why your validation disappeared, but you've already had 1 person nominate you, you just need 1 more to be validated again. PM Mark at Powertorque or Markone2 and see if they will vouch for you.

However, the only thing Validation will affect is your mailbox size, avatar and access to the private sections - so it shouldn't affect your ability to use the classifieds and PM or Email sellers (the 10 post count affects that, but you're past that).
