Hi all,

What are peoples thoughts on paint protection, interior treatments, anti rust and sound deadening packages?

Thanks

Paint protection/anti rust - It won't hurt at all, however you are better off getting it done from someone other than the dealership. Panel Shops can do all this for you at a much cheaper rate.

If your talking about the spray on sound deadner which is applied to the underbody of the car and throughout the boot and spaces, also have this done at a panel shop directly. If you are talking about the foil sheeting, go Dynamat and its pretty easy to do yourself.

:search: please!!

Has been done to death a million times, including being asked again very recently. Bottom line, on paint and interior protection unless they throw it in for free after you have finished negotiations on price (so you know it really is free) it's a big rip off! Guys like Voodoo and Sponge 'n Bubbles on here (sponsors) who are professional detailers will give you a far better job for much less.

Sound deadening I don't know about but given the rip off the other things are and the fact that modern cars are pretty well soundproofed anyway I suspect it's another waste of your money....... :(
