Hey
I just got my Learners license for motorcyles last friday. They are great.
I think the course was fantastic (NSW), they really should look at implementing something like this for learners on cars aswell as we all know how shocking some drivers are!
I dont have a bike as yet, but in dec my mate is looking at selling his 91 HONDA CBR 250RR, so i am thinking of buying it (only was $2500 for it) as he is going to upgrade to a Ducati 916.
I went for a ride to Palm Beach on Saturday, its great fun. I did not feel to unsettled by being on the road without a shell around me either, although someone did manage to pull out between my mate and i at one point. Just put the training into practise, leave a 3 second gap, and be ready to slow down if needed.
Great to finally get over the fact my mum hates them(she has her reasons, as most people to) and just get the license and a bike soon. Sure they are extreamly dangerous, but so is crossing the road, firefighting and driving a car!
