Will car pass rego with broken mirror casing?

I broke my passenger side mirror casing, basically the part that the actual mirror is surronded by, it broke where it connects to the part attached to the door. I have taped it up on the outside with white tape (same colour as car)so it is secure, just wondering wether or not it will pass rego (properly not dodgy). I will get a picture if need be.

My mirror was held on with tape for a while (over rego though) and was ok. Black car, black tape - no one really saw it unless I pointed it out.

Just don't make a big deal of it or mention it and she'll be ok.

Try Holmart for a new one. Around $80 I think.
