G'day,

I had a look at what I thought was an SV89 yesterday, but it turns out the build plate says SV120 which from what I read on an old thread here was an optioned up Calais/Berlina/SS.

The car is 5l Auto, Alpine White with the red/maroon interior.
HSV plate reads;

Build Number #E320 H2
Model SV 120
Date 8-8-89

The Model is VN8VL19-224
Trim 760
Eng L89

I didn't have a whole lot of time to look at the car, but it's pretty original with books etc, it has what looks like a 3" exhaust from the cat ending in a 3" y'd to dual tail pipe. Air Con, cruise control. It has colour coded Walky style wheels including spare. We had it on a hoist and it looks like the only thing that has been changed is the Springs & shocks & probably the exhaust. 180 odd thousand original k's. 2 owners, the current owner, who was the original owner, bought it back off the guy he sold it to in the mid 90's.

As I understand it there were SV 100 through to SV 200 models in the HSV enhancement range, but thats about all I know.

I have called HSV who dont know much about it, other than it is in their system. Anyone know how many were made/desirability etc

Cheers

There were V6s designated SV40 and SV50, and there were SV100, SV110, SV120, SV130, SV140 and SV150 V8s.

I just found a car on cardomain that said only 30 of the SV120 were built.

Think of it as an option pack :)
