my mate just bought a 70mm throttle body for his 2000 vs ecotech ute.
and we put it on the other day and the car is running really ruf.
rang up some people 3 reacon it needs a maf tune
then he rang up dan at chipmaster and he said there is something wrong with the throttle body.
so dono.
any help would b much appreciated.

Throttle body wont affect the tune , a TPS fault will. If it was running fine before you fitted the thottlebody and it runs like crap now it is the installation or a component
All VS ecotechs have a maf sensor and are tuned with the maf on , there are no mafless programs without changing to a different computer.

1) learn to spell.
2) put it back to stock and see if it goes away, if it does then you have a problem with the install.
geez settle down , ok ill try that.

wouldnt mind betting its the tps.i changed the throttle body on my vt v6 when i had it & it went like crap.was supposed to be a new tps with the new t/body but it was faulty.got a new one & my transmission guy adjusted it for me & everything was fine.until then idled crap & went bad,wouldnt change gears properly.check it out.

i changed the throttle body on my ecotec and have not had a prob, why dont you try using the original TPS and IAC sensors? because i only bought the butterfly and bored my original it was fine. also try doing an fast idle re-learn pcm reset. dunno if it does or will do anything but cant hurt to try.
